Boys Like Girls

This popular and ever lasting band has been around for approximately four years. Hitting it off in 2005 the band formed when singer and guitarist Martin Johnson recruited bassist Bryan Donahue and drummer John Keefe so he could record a gaggle of songs he had previously written. With Keefe came the lead guitarist Paul DiGiovanni. Soon they opened a Pure Volume account, a website were bands can go to showcase their music and advertise themselves. Unsurprisingly they soon became the #1 Unsigned Artists on the site. With all the attention the band was getting Matt Galle, a booking agent, and record producer Matt Squire contacted the band about a future collaboration. In late February of 2006 the band embarked on their first tour with A Thorn for Every Heart, Hit the Lights and Keating. Almost immediately after the tour ended they hit the recording booth to record there first eponymous album Boys Like Girls.

The year 2007 was a good one for the band, headlining with Self Against City, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and eventually charting the Billboard 200 for the first time. Also in February the band released their album's second single, “The Great Escape” which sold platinum.

The group is known for completing nationwide tours with Cute Is What We Aim For, Hit The Lights and Butch Walker.
