Papa Roach

Papa Roach is the well known alt-metal band, coming out of Southern California, giving an edgy feel to rock and metal.
The members of Papa Roach are of Tony Palermo, Jerry Horton, Jacoby Shaddix, and Tobin Esperance, the band formed in 1993
and began releasing EPs soon after. The band released many popular EPs some of which are 1994's Potatoes
for Christmas and 1995's Caca Bonita. In 1996, the bassist Will James was replaced with Esperance and a new manager
was found.
In 1997, Papa Roach released their first LP, "Old Friends from Young Years". It became a big hit on local radio and the
band's success led to better shows, including dates with Suicidal Tendencies, Sevendust, and Powerman 5000. The same year
they worked up a deal with Dreamworks Records, which released Papa Roach's second album, Infest, in early 2000. The
album went triple platinum thanks to the success of there single "Last Resort."
Two years later, the front man of Papa Roach, Coby Dick, reverted back to his givin name of Jacoby Shaddix. A second album,
Lovehatetragedy, appeared in June 2002. The now popular band had begun to grow beyond its rap-rock roots and the new
tracks showcased a slightly more mature, melodic, and straightforward hard rock sound. In 2004, the band released their third
studio effort, Getting Away with Murder. Promoted by the success of the single "Scars", Getting Away with Murder sold well
and eventually went platinum. Two years after, Papa Roach began work on their fourth studio album at the infamous and historical
Paramour mansion in Hollywood. The Paramour Sessions was released in Fall of 2006.
